Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Site Support & Operations

• Assist in day-to-day site operations, including supervision of labor and subcontractors under guidance.
• Ensure that all work is executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project standards.
• Support senior engineers in monitoring site progress, manpower utilization, and material usage.
• Participate in site meetings, follow-up on action items, and ensure smooth communication between contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.

Quality Control & Compliance

• Assist in-site inspections to ensure workmanship meets quality standards.
• Support the QA/QC team in monitoring and documenting site activities, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and security regulations at all times.
• Learn to identify potential quality or compliance issues and report them to senior engineers.

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare daily, weekly, and progress reports under guidance of Project Manager or senior engineers.
• Maintain accurate records of site measurements, material usage, and work completed.
• Assist in compiling site documentation for client reporting and project submissions.

Technical Support & Learning

• Support senior engineers in reviewing drawings, specifications, and project documents before execution.
• Learn and assist in quantity take-offs, material coordination, and construction planning.
• Develop understanding of site workflows, scheduling, and construction sequencing.
• Assist in coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams to understand integration between civil, structural, and fit-out work.

Professional Development

• Participate in training sessions, site briefings, and technical workshops.
• Observe and learn best practices in project management, site supervision, and safety compliance.
• Take initiative in developing problem-solving skills, technical knowledge, and communication abilities.

Technical Skills

• Basic knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and site practices.
• Familiarity with site measurement, reporting, and documentation tools.
• Proficient in MS Office, basic AutoCAD is an advantage.
• Understanding of health and safety practices on construction sites.
