Virtualization Architect INTALEQ

Role Purpose-

Responsible for designing, implementing, and operating enterprise grade virtualization platforms with a strong focus on Nutanix technologies. The role ensures highly available, scalable, secure, and resilient hybrid and multi cloud virtualization environments, including active active datacenters architectures, software defined networking, disaster recovery, and centralized management. The role provides hands on technical leadership and acts as a key interface with infrastructure, network, and application teams.

Responsibilities-

Virtualization Architecture & Design

• Design and maintain enterprise virtualization architecture standards with a primary focus on Nutanix platforms.

• Define blueprints for compute, storage, and software defined networking components.

• Ensure designs support scalability, performance, security, and operational efficiency.

• Participate in architecture reviews and ensure alignment with enterprise standards.

Nutanix Platform Leadership

• Lead the design, deployment, and operation of Nutanix AHV, AOS, and Prism environments.

• Provide hands on expertise in Nutanix cluster design, lifecycle management, and upgrades.

• Ensure optimal configuration and utilization of Nutanix infrastructure components.

Hybrid & Multi Cloud Integration

• Design and support hybrid and multi cloud virtualization environments.

• Integrate on premises virtualization platforms with public cloud services where required.

• Support cloud adjacent and cloud integrated workloads without requiring deep hyperscaler specialization.

High Availability & Disaster Recovery

• Design and operate highly available virtualization platforms, including active active datacenter architectures.

• Implement and maintain disaster recovery solutions using synchronous and asynchronous replication.

• Plan, execute, and document DR testing and business continuity scenarios.

Software Defined Networking & Security

• Design and operate software defined networking solutions within virtualized environments.

• Ensure secure segmentation, traffic management, and network resiliency.

• Apply zero trust and defense in depth principles within virtualization platforms.

Centralized & Unified Management

• Implement and maintain centralized management, monitoring, and automation platforms.

• Ensure unified visibility across compute, storage, network, and DR layers.

• Define operational dashboards, alerts, and performance KPIs.

Operations, Monitoring & Optimization

• Ensure stability, availability, and performance of virtualization platforms.

• Perform capacity planning, performance optimization, and lifecycle management.

• Lead root cause analysis and continuous service improvement initiatives.

Project Delivery & Technical Leadership

• Lead virtualization initiatives end to end including new builds, upgrades, migrations, and consolidations.

• Provide technical leadership to engineers during implementation and operations.

• Contribute to automation, standard operating procedures, and documentation.

Stakeholder & Cross Team Collaboration

• Work closely with network, storage, security, database, and application teams.

• Communicate technical designs and operational considerations clearly to business and technical stakeholders.

• Support vendors and partners during solution delivery and support engagements.

Qualification-

• 8 - 10 years of experience in enterprise virtualization and infrastructure environments.

• Strong hands on experience with Nutanix platforms in production environments.

• Proven experience designing and operating active active data center architectures.

• Solid experience in hyperconverged, hybrid and multi cloud virtualization environments.

• Strong understanding of disaster recovery, business continuity, and high availability concepts.

• Hands on experience with software defined networking and centralized infrastructure management.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Nutanix certifications (NCP, NCM, or equivalent) are highly desirable.

• Network defined / software defined networking certification is strongly preferred.

• Cloud foundation certifications are desirable but deep Azure or GCP specialization.

• Expert knowledge of Nutanix AHV, AOS, Prism Central, and lifecycle management.

• Strong understanding of virtualization networking, micro segmentation, and security controls.

• Experience with active active data centers, metro clusters, and DR orchestration.

• Strong skills in centralized monitoring, automation, and capacity management.

• Ability to troubleshoot complex, multi layer infrastructure issues.

• Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills."
