Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Assist in patient care and other ward related duties as directed by and under supervision of the staff nurse. 

   1. Respond quickly to patient’s request for assistance.

   2. Assist with patient’s hygiene, elimination, and mobility, physical comfort, eating and drinking needs while observing and reporting any specific changes to the staff nurse. 

   3. Obtain patient’s height and weight measurement.

   4. Assist in the maintenance of cleanliness in all areas including patient’s room within the unit. 

   5. Assist in the maintenance of supply and storage areas.

   6. Transporting specimens to laboratory. 

   7. Act a messenger as required. 

   8. Escort patients to and from Radiology Department as directed by nurse on duty.

   9. Assist nursing staff in preparing/cleaning patient’s room for admission/discharge.

   10. Participates in any scheduled educational activities
