The purpose of this consultancy is to provide short term technical support to World Vision Lebanon s WASH programming ensuring the quality design and implementation of WASH interventions.

The WASH Consultant will support program teams in the design and delivery of prioritized WASH interventions in line with WV Lebanon strategy, sector standards, and evidence based practices. The role includes technical input to proposals, participation in relevant WASH sector coordination forums, and hands on support to field teams to address implementation challenges and improve quality and compliance.

Support in Program Design and Development

• Support donor pre positioning efforts by contributing to the identification and shaping of new WASH programme ideas and models, informed by evidence, learning, and contextual analysis.
• Provide technical input to the co development of WASH proposals, ensuring alignment with World Vision strategies, donor requirements, and relevant sector standards.
• Provide technical review and input into WASH components of project budgets, including costing of activities, bill of quantities, and technical assumptions, in coordination with programme and operations teams ensuring feasibility, cost effectiveness, and compliance with donor and sector standards.

Support Program Implementation, Monitoring and Reporting

• Provide technical support and hands on guidance to field teams to strengthen implementation quality, including coaching, sharing of resources/tools, and support to learning and adaptation.
• Contribute to implementation monitoring through filed visits and close coordination with the Programme Manager and field operations teams, identifying technical gaps and recommending corrective actions to strengthen quality and compliance.
• Provide technical advice and troubleshooting support related to WASH procurement processes, in coordination with supply chain and operations teams, to help address material specification issues, delays, or quality concerns affecting programme implementation.
• Conduct technical review of WASH components in donor grant progress reports, ensuring accuracy, coherence, and alignment with approved designs, indicators, and sector/donor standards.

Internal & External Engagement

• Support World Vision Lebanon s engagement in relevant WASH sector coordination mechanisms, including WASH Sector Working Groups by participating in meetings, sharing technical inputs, and supporting follow up actions, as agreed with WVL leadership.
• Contribute to external technical exchange and coordination with key WASH stakeholders (e.g. line ministries, UN agencies, INGOs, national NGOs, and local actors) primarily through established coordination platforms and technical forums.
• Participate in internal WVL meetings, technical workshops, and learning events to ensure coherence and learning across WASH programming.
• Coordinate and liaise with World Vision Regional and Global technical teams, as required, to facilitate technical alignment, access to guidance, and exchange of lessons learned relevant to WASH programming in Lebanon.

Perform other duties as required

• Responsible of own security and actively contribute to a positive security culture
• Report CP incidents as per the safeguarding policy guidelines.
• Abide by the security policies and procedures and report any incidents or breaches to line manager and / or security manager
• Perform other duties as assigned by Line Manager
