Main mission

Ensure the supervision, maintenance and operational quality of all the resort's swimming pools, decorative pools and water features, in accordance with the Mandarin Oriental's standards of excellence and international standards of safety, hygiene and technical performance.

The incumbent ensures that all aquatic facilities provide a flawless experience for our guests, while ensuring regulatory compliance and sustainability of the equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Operation and Maintenance:

Supervise the daily maintenance of the resort's swimming pools, decorative pools and fountains.

Ensure regular monitoring of the physical and chemical parameters of the water (pH, chlorine, turbidity, temperature, etc.) according to MOHG standards and local regulations.

Ensuring the proper functioning of filtration, pumping and treatment systems.

Identify and anticipate any technical failure in order to ensure continuity of service.

Quality and Safety:

Maintain water quality at a level that meets international hygiene, health and safety standards.

Ensure the safety of guests and colleagues around aquatic areas (signage, access, equipment).

Maintain monitoring, analysis and maintenance records in accordance with internal and external audit requirements.

Leadership and Coordination:

Supervise and train the technicians assigned to the water bodies, developing their technical skills and their sense of detail.

Work closely with the Spa, Housekeeping, Garden and Security departments to ensure a harmonious and proactive management of aquatic areas.

Actively participate in technical meetings and continuous improvement plans of the department.

Innovation and Sustainability:

Propose initiatives to reduce water and energy consumption related to aquatic facilities.

Ensure the application of good environmental practices and the integration of sustainable technologies in the management of water bodies.

Desired profile

Technical training in hydraulic engineering, aquatic systems maintenance or equivalent.

Proven experience (5 years minimum) in the technical management of swimming pools and water basins in a luxury hotel or a high-end establishment.

Mastery of filtration, treatment, dosing and automation systems.

In-depth knowledge of international safety, hygiene and quality standards.

Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and thoroughness.

English and French, clear and professional communication.
