Carry out welding, cutting, and general repairs and maintenance throughout the drilling unit as approved by OIM/Maintenance Supervisor.

Ensure that sufficient stock of all necessary welding consumables, including gases and electrodes, are maintained onboard.

Supervise, inspect and maintain the oxy-acetylene installation and all welding equipment, with the safe stowage of the oxy-acetylene bottles.

Maintain adequate knowledge of welding procedures.

Ensure a Fire Watcher is in attendance when considered necessary by Permit to Work.

Keep welding coding qualification up to date by ensuring revalidation as per Company requirement.

Perform general welding, high pressure and manual arc welding; maintain knowledge of metal working, welding and properties of metals.

Perform all work according to agreed expectations of both internal and external customers, focuson doing things right the first time, every time, and contribute actively to continual improvement activities.

Comply with company s Code of Conduct.

Handle compressed gas cylinders, hoses, regulators, welding machines and leads; perform all other aspects of gas and electric welding, cutting and burning operation.

Show active participation in Hazard Management and Stop Work activities.

Effectively contribute to Management of Change and Non-Conformance Management through compliance with Change and Non-Conformance Procedures.

Participate in document revisions as required.

Assist in the mentoring process in accordance with the Mentoring Program, as required.

Demonstrate leadership through personal responsibility and accountability.

Participate in Competence Program.
