Under the supervision of the Deputy Director, the Cultural Project Manager designs, develops, and coordinates the cultural program in all its forms (performances, workshops, meetings, exchanges), in accordance with the guidelines and mission of the French Institute in Morocco.
They play a key role in promoting artistic exchange, enhancing the branch's visibility, and strengthening collaborations between local and international artists.
This position is strategic for developing a diverse cultural program across its artistic fields and aesthetic movements, one that is innovative and encourages a broad audience to attend the events offered.
Responsibilities:
1/ Cultural Programming and Activities:
Develop and propose the cultural program and cultural cooperation activities.
Deliver information and content about the cultural program to the branch's communications manager.
Conduct ongoing and proactive monitoring of the French and Moroccan artistic scenes.
Manage seasonal or shared tours for the French Institute in Morocco, whether as a lead or participating institution.
Develop, in conjunction with other departments of the French Institute (educational cooperation, media library, Language Center), joint educational projects linked to cultural programming for learners at the Language Center and partner institutions (cinema, theater, visual arts, etc.), including the Language-Culture Bridge program.
Represent the Institute at cultural events organized by third parties.
Maintain and update the cultural and artistic map of the branch.
Implement cultural mediation activities around national and local events with all departments (Language Center, media library, cooperation) and with the branch's partners.
2/ Administrative and logistical organization:
Ensure the monitoring and updating of tools for managing cultural activities, particularly those related to the planning and management of cultural projects.
Prepare and submit provisional budgets and draft contracts for each cultural activity, under the supervision of the Secretary General. This task includes the rigorous preparation of financial statements and all supporting documents for each project, intended for review by Management, to guarantee administrative compliance and the economic viability of the program.
Coordinate and operationally implement projects: Organize and coordinate the implementation of all administrative, logistical, and technical actions necessary for the projects (welcoming artists, finding venues, obtaining permits, technical setup), and compile a complete file (roadmap, schedule, logistics, etc.).
Coordinate with IFMO departments the implementation of the programming (Technical Management, Communication, Partnerships, Media Library, General Secretariat).
Conduct financial negotiations for the programming and its cultural activities under the coordination of the General Secretary
. The cultural project manager may be appointed, at the discretion of the branch manager, as the authorized representative for collecting payments.
3/ Development of resources and financial partnerships:
Develop strategic partnerships for sponsorship and marketing to attract additional financial resources for cultural programming.
Negotiate financial contributions from partners, particularly through direct coverage of a portion of cultural project expenses.
Contribute to the institution's own revenue, including ticket sales for cinemas and shows.
Actively seek all opportunities for external funding and grants to support cultural programming.

Profile:
Strong interest in culture, the arts, mediation, and knowledge sharing.
A Master's degree (Bac +4/5) is highly recommended.
Training in cultural management and/or professional experience in similar roles is a plus.
Fluency in spoken and written French is essential.
Proficiency in office software is required. A valid driver
's license (category B) is required.
All references are subject to verification.
Skills and Knowledge:
Familiarity with contemporary Moroccan and French figures in the performing arts and visual arts, including the French, Moroccan, and international music scenes.
Experience in producing large-scale events (technical aspects, security, administrative permits) is a plus.
Knowledge of management and planning tools.
Familiarity with the network of French cultural institutions abroad, the cultural sector, and the cultural offerings in France and Morocco.
Develop interpersonal skills in working with local and international partners.
Work in a team and network (coordination with the French cultural network in Morocco).
Plan, organize, share, collaborate, and report.
