Infrastructure Consultant - Center Engineer Secure Maximum Company

We are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Consultant (Center Engineer) to join our delivery team on a fixed-term contract basis in Riyadh. The successful candidate will serve as a subject matter expert embedded within or supporting a banking client environment, responsible for the design, implementation, and day-to-day operation of core infrastructure services. This is a hands-on senior role requiring both deep technical capability and the ability to engage confidently with client stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities-

Infrastructure Design & Implementation

• Design and deploy enterprise infrastructure solutions including compute, storage, networking, and data centre systems aligned with client architecture standards.

• Lead the implementation of infrastructure projects from scoping through to go-live, ensuring delivery within agreed timelines and quality benchmarks.

• Develop and maintain technical documentation including HLDs, LLDs, runbooks, and as-built records.

  
  

Operations & Support

• Manage and monitor production infrastructure environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and security compliance.

• Perform root cause analysis on incidents and drive corrective and preventative actions in line with ITIL-based service management processes.

• Execute change management activities including planning, risk assessment, and post-implementation review.

Banking & Compliance

• Apply knowledge of banking-sector IT requirements, including regulatory compliance, data sovereignty, and operational resilience standards relevant to the Saudi financial sector (SAMA frameworks).

• Liaise with internal and client security teams to ensure infrastructure configurations meet institutional security policies.

  
  

Client Engagement

• Act as a senior technical point of contact for the client, attending steering meetings, providing status updates, and escalating risks appropriately.

• Mentor junior team members and support knowledge transfer to client IT staff as required.

Requirements-

Experience

• Minimum 7 years of experience in infrastructure engineering or consulting roles.

• Mandatory: prior experience working within or directly supporting a banking or financial institution environment.

• Demonstrated track record delivering infrastructure projects in large, complex enterprise environments.

  
  

Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience across two or more of the following: server/compute infrastructure (HPE, Dell), enterprise storage (NetApp, Pure, EMC), LAN/WAN networking (Cisco, Juniper), virtualisation (VMware vSphere/vSAN), or data centre operations.

• Familiarity with hybrid cloud environments and integration with on-premises infrastructure.

• Working knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions (Veeam, Commvault, Zerto or equivalent).

• Proficiency with infrastructure monitoring and ITSM tools (ServiceNow, SolarWinds or equivalent).

Certifications (Preferred)

• Relevant vendor or industry certifications such as CCNP, VCP, MCSE, or equivalent.

• ITIL Foundation certification is an advantage.

Soft Skills & Other Requirements

• Excellent written and spoken English; Arabic is a plus.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a client-facing contract environment.

• Must be based in or willing to relocate to Riyadh, KSA for the duration of the contract.
