Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled System Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Server Management: Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers, including Windows and Linux operating systems.

• Backup and Recovery: Develop and manage backup and recovery plans to ensure data integrity and availability.

• Load Balancer Management: Configure, manage, and troubleshoot load balancers to ensure high availability and reliability of web services.

• Network Administration: Manage and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs.

• Security Management: Implement and manage security measures, including firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems.

• User Support: Provide technical support to users, resolving hardware, software, and network issues promptly.

• Monitoring: Monitor system performance and ensure compliance with security standards and policies.

• Windows Server: Manage and maintain Active Directory, Group Policies, and other Windows Server roles and features.

• Virtualization Management: Administer and maintain virtualization environments, including Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware ESXi.

• VDI Management: Manage and support VMware Horizon virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) environments.

• Performance Tuning: Optimize system performance, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and implement performance tuning measures.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of system configurations, procedures, and changes.

• Patch Management: Regularly apply patches and updates to operating systems and applications to ensure security and performance.

• Automation: Develop scripts and tools to automate routine tasks and improve efficiency.

• Disaster Recovery: Assist in the development and testing of disaster recovery plans.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Experience: Minimum of [3-5] years of experience in system administration or a related field.

• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, or similar are preferred.

• Skills:

• Proficiency in Windows Server and Linux operating systems.

• Experience with load balancer technologies (e.g., HAProxy, F5, NGINX).

• Strong understanding of network protocols and services (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP).

• Extensive experience with virtualization technologies, specifically Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware ESXi.

• Knowledge of VMware Horizon for virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) management.

• Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, etc.).

• Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions.

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
