SAP Functional Expert (SCM) asyad

JOB PURPOSE:

To provide end-to-end ownership of SAP S/4HANA–enabled Supply Chain solutions, ensuring seamless integration across ports, logistics, warehousing, transportation, and asset support operations. The role drives standardized, scalable, and compliant business processes by coordinating SAP capabilities, external platforms, and implementation partners to deliver operational visibility, efficiency, and performance aligned with ASYAD’s integrated logistics strategy.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Responsibilities:

• Own and govern SAP S/4HANA–enabled supply chain solutions across procurement, inventory, warehousing, logistics execution, transportation, and asset support processes.
• Act as the functional solution owner for SAP Supply Chain, coordinating across relevant SAP components (e.g., MM, EWM, TM, PM, SD, PP) and working closely with system integrators and subject matter experts.
• Lead fit-to-standard and process harmonization initiatives to simplify legacy processes and align with SAP best practices and ASYAD enterprise architecture standards.
• Enable SAP processes that support port, terminal, and integrated logistics operations, including inbound and outbound cargo movements, yard operations, warehousing, and distribution.
• Coordinate integration between SAP and external platforms such as Terminal Operating Systems (TOS), port authority systems, customs platforms, shipping lines, and logistics partners.
• Ensure end-to-end visibility of inventory and cargo status across ports, logistics hubs, warehouses, and transportation networks.
• Support operational performance management by enabling SAP data and reporting that contributes to KPIs such as vessel turnaround time, yard dwell time, throughput, service levels, and logistics efficiency.
• Define and govern SAP-enabled warehouse and yard management processes suitable for high-volume logistics environments.
• Oversee integration of SAP logistics and warehouse processes with automation, mobility solutions, and digital enablers (e.g., handheld devices, RFID, IoT) where applicable.
• Support maintenance and asset-driven supply chain processes, including spare parts planning, inventory optimization, and material availability for asset-intensive operations.
• Enable standardized handling of batch-, serial-, and lot-controlled materials across supply chain operations.
• Support SAP-enabled transportation and distribution processes, including shipment planning, execution, tracking, and multimodal logistics flows.
• Govern SAP integration and data consistency using SAP BTP / Integration Suite in collaboration with IT and integration teams.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of supply chain–related master data across SAP and integrated external systems.
• Act as the primary SAP Supply Chain point of contact for ports, logistics, warehousing, and operations stakeholders.
• Coordinate UAT, cutover, hypercare, and post-go-live stabilization activities for SAP Supply Chain initiatives.
• Provide functional oversight and L3 support, driving continuous improvement based on operational feedback and performance insights.
• Enable SAP-based reporting and analytics to support supply chain visibility, cost optimization, and service performance.
• Ensure compliance with Oman regulatory requirements, port authority standards, audit requirements, and internal control frameworks.
