Maintain essential IT operations, including servers and their operating systems, security tools, applications, various services, and email systems across the AWS environment.

• Perform Server Administration tasks including user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, event log monitoring (warnings and errors), and resource monitoring to ensure system architecture components work together seamlessly.
• Monitor cloud health using pre-existing management tools and respond to virtual hardware issues as they arise; build, test, and maintain new virtual servers as needed.
• Maintain internal infrastructure requirements including servers, firewalls, security updates, VPN configurations, backup jobs, and monitoring systems.
• Collaborate with development and cross-functional teams to assist in troubleshooting, identify root causes, and provide technical support when needed.
• Plan, implement, and manage backup strategies, disaster recovery procedures, endpoint protection, and system upgrades.
• Help maintain a 99.5% application uptime through proactive monitoring, rapid incident response, and continuous system optimization.
• Perform continuous system monitoring and alerting to ensure all services are running at optimal performance.
• Run and deliver reports on system performance metrics to the IT team and wider organization.
• Design and implement infrastructure solutions for applications hosted within the AWS ecosystem.
• Manage data backup and restoration processes, ensuring data integrity and compliance with retention policies.
• Configure, manage, and maintain enterprise firewall solutions including Fortinet FortiGate and Palo Alto Networks firewalls, ensuring robust network security policies, threat prevention, VPN tunnels, and rule optimization.
• Set up and administer Grafana dashboards for real-time system monitoring, performance visualization, and centralized logs aggregation to support proactive incident detection and operational reporting.
